Quick answer

How do I connect Claude to Fortnox, Klarna or Magento?

In Claude, add a custom connector with the address , then sign in with Junipeer, pick your API key and click Allow. Your Junipeer workspace needs MCP first: a System MCP for one system (€39/mo + €2 per 1,000 requests) or Workspace MCP for all your integrations (€49/mo).

What is Claude MCP?

Claude MCP means connecting Claude to other software through MCP (Model Context Protocol), the open standard AI assistants use to read data and take actions in other systems. In Claude, an MCP connection is called a custom connector, and it's available on Claude's Free, Pro, Max, Team and Enterprise plans.

When you add a custom connector, Claude connects to a remote MCP server from Anthropic's cloud, not from your computer. Junipeer runs that server for e-commerce: one address that gives Claude access to your Junipeer integrations and to the systems you connect, such as Fortnox, Klarna or Magento.

You ask in plain language, in Swedish or English, and Claude answers from your live data instead of guessing.

What can Claude do with Junipeer?

With Junipeer's MCP server, Claude can work with your integrations and with the data in your e-commerce systems. There are two ways to use it, and you can combine them.

Workspace MCP

Manage your integrations

Claude reads your Junipeer integrations, settings, logs and tasks. It finds why an order didn't sync, explains what a setting does, adjusts mappings and schedules, and re-runs failed syncs, within the permissions you give it.

What do you need before you start?

You need a Claude account and a Junipeer workspace with MCP. Setup has two parts: an owner prepares Junipeer once, then anyone in the workspace can connect their own Claude.

Claude

In Claude

  • Any Claude plan works. Custom connectors are available on Free, Pro, Max, Team and Enterprise.
  • Free plan: you can have one custom connector. If you already use another one, remove it first.
  • Team and Enterprise: only an Owner can add a custom connector for the organization. Members then find it in their connector list, marked "Custom", and connect.
  • Where it works: you add the connector on claude.ai, and it's then available in Claude Desktop and the Claude mobile app.
Junipeer

In Junipeer

  • MCP in your subscription: Workspace MCP, a System MCP, or both.
  • AI apps switched on for the workspace.
  • A sign-in key: an API key of the type "People sign in with it" that allows Claude.
The last two need an owner of the Junipeer workspace. Once they're done, any member can connect Claude without admin rights.

Set up MCP in Junipeer

1

Add MCP to your workspace

In the Junipeer app, go to Integrations. Under Add an MCP server, click Browse MCP servers for one system, such as Fortnox, or click Enable under Workspace MCP to let Claude work with all your integrations. You're billed from the day you add it.

Stuck on this step?

If Claude later shows "This workspace has no MCP. Add Workspace MCP or an MCP server", this step is missing. Add MCP under Subscriptions and connect again.

Switch on AI apps

Click your initials at the top right and choose My workspaces. Under the section named after your workspace, for example Company AB settings, switch on AI apps (MCP).

If Claude later shows "AI apps are switched off for your workspace", an owner needs to switch them on here.

Create a sign-in key for Claude

Click your initials → Account Settings → API keys → New API key. Choose People sign in with it and give it a name, such as "Claude". Under Apps that may sign in, keep Any app, or choose Only these apps to allow only Claude. Under Quick setup, choose a level in the AI assistant row, for example Look and explain. Click Create API key.

  3. Also run jobsPlus start and re-run syncs
  4. Also write to your systemsPlus create and change data in connected systems

Start with Look and explain. You can raise the level later.

Stuck on this step?

If Claude later shows "None of your workspaces has a key that lets this app sign in", either no sign-in key exists, or the key is set to "Only these apps" without Claude. Edit the key and add Claude, or choose Any app.

In the key list, access is shown as permissions, for example integrations:read.

Choose when Claude asks first

Open the Junipeer connector in Claude. Under Tool permissions, set Read-only tools to Always allow, and keep Write/delete tools on Needs approval. Claude then answers questions straight away, but asks you before every change.

Stuck on this step?

"Always allow" is disabled for Cowork by your organization admin: on Team and Enterprise, an admin can turn off Always allow in Cowork. It still works in regular chats.

Ask your first question

Start a new chat, check that Junipeer is switched on under + → Connectors, and ask, for example:

“Using Junipeer, did any of my integrations fail this week?”
Stuck on this step?

Claude answers without using Junipeer: check that the connector is switched on in this chat, or mention Junipeer in your question.

Claude says it isn't allowed to do something: your key's level doesn't include that action. A workspace owner can raise it under API keys → Edit. Claude gets the change within 30 minutes.

What can you ask Claude?

Ask the way you'd ask a colleague, in Swedish or English. Mention Junipeer or the system name the first time, so Claude knows where to look.

About your integrations

Workspace MCP
  • “Why didn't order 4512 reach Fortnox?”
  • “Which orders failed to sync this week, and why?”
  • “What does the setting 'Import only unfulfilled orders' do, and is it on?”
  • “Re-run the failed invoice sync for 8 October.”

Three invoices are more than 30 days overdue, €4,860 in total. The oldest is invoice 10231 to Nordhem AB, 47 days overdue.

Can Claude change data, and where does the data go?

Claude can only do what your API key allows, and the key's level is the hard limit: a "Look and explain" key can't change anything.

Claude asks before changes.

Junipeer marks every action as read-only or changing, and Claude asks for your approval before it runs a changing action, as long as those tools are set to Needs approval. Junipeer also instructs Claude to explain each change and wait for your yes.

Your logins stay with Junipeer.

Claude never sees the passwords or tokens for Fortnox, Klarna or your other systems.

Junipeer keeps no copy of your requests.

The MCP server has no database and no request logs.

Changes leave a trace.

Settings changed through Claude appear in the integration's change history, marked as coming from MCP with the key that was used. The key's page shows each connected app, who connected it, and when it was last used.

Hosted in the EU.

Junipeer's MCP server runs in Google Cloud in Belgium.

Claude's side is covered by your Anthropic agreement.

Claude connects to Junipeer from Anthropic's cloud, and what Claude stores from your conversations follows your agreement with Anthropic.

What does Claude MCP cost?

Adding a custom connector costs nothing extra in Claude: it's included in every plan, Free included. What you pay for is MCP in Junipeer.

Why connect Claude through Junipeer?

Junipeer gives Claude one MCP address for your whole e-commerce stack, instead of a separate server per system.

Your Nordic e-commerce stack through one connector,

from Fortnox and Magento to Klarna, Svea and Walley.

Your integrations too, not just raw data:

with Workspace MCP, Claude can explain and fix the syncs between your systems. A plain API connector can't do that.

Nothing to host or maintain.

Junipeer runs the server, keeps it updated when a system's API changes, and hosts it in the EU.

Built by an integration partner

that has connected Nordic e-commerce systems since 2021, with support from people who know these systems.
