What Fortnox MCP is
Fortnox MCP lets your AI assistant read and work with your Fortnox data. Connect Fortnox to Junipeer once, then add Junipeer as a connector in your AI app. Ask in plain language, and the AI fetches the answer straight from Fortnox.
MCP (Model Context Protocol) is the open standard AI assistants use to connect to other software. Junipeer hosts the connection to Fortnox, so you don't install, code or maintain anything.

What your AI can work with
| Area | What AI can do |
|---|---|
| Invoices | Find, read, create and update invoices; bookkeep, credit or send them. |
| Payments | See which invoices are paid, register payments. |
| Customers | Search, create and update customers. |
| Orders and offers | Create and update orders and offers, turn them into invoices. |
| Articles and prices | List articles, update prices and price lists. |
| Supplier invoices | Read supplier invoices and register supplier payments. |
| Accounting | Accounts, financial years, cost centers, projects, locked periods. |
What's available depends on your Fortnox plan and the permissions you grant when you connect. Reading needs read access on the API key; creating or changing data needs write access.
How it works
Claude, ChatGPT, Gemini or any MCP client
Checks the key and the app, then calls Fortnox
Your invoices, customers and accounts
- 1.You ask a question in your AI app.
- 2.Junipeer checks your API key and allowed apps, then calls the Fortnox API.
- 3.Fortnox returns the data, and your AI answers.
What keeps it safe
You choose what each API key may do.
Other apps can't use the key.
Each user signs in with Junipeer and approves access.
The AI app never sees your Fortnox login or tokens.
With read-only access, the AI can look but not change anything.
In practice
You have 6 overdue invoices, 48,200 SEK in total. The largest is Nordic Outdoor AB: invoice 1042, 14,500 SEK, 21 days overdue.
No payments registered on invoice 1042. Their last payment was 3 March, for invoice 0987.
Two questions, two answers, straight from Fortnox.
